Innovative Arm Lift Techniques
Pre- and Post-Operative Care for Arm Lift
Pre-Operative Instructions:
- There is very little preparation required.
- The patient needs to wash their shoulders, armpits, and arms with antibacterial soap the night before surgery and the morning of the surgery before coming to the surgery center.
- Avoid aspirin and aspirin-related products for two weeks before the surgery.
- Arrive at the surgery center with an empty stomach; no food or drink after midnight.
Post-Operative Instructions:
- Post-operative care for an arm lift is very simple. The patient can remove the garment and take a shower the day after surgery.
- If steri-strips are applied, they may come off easily due to the garment and motion. When they fall off, a clear liquid bandage can be used to cover the wound.
- The patient can return to work a couple of days after surgery, provided they are not using any narcotic pain medication and feel comfortable enough.
