Brachioplasty Arm Lift in Chicago
An arm lift, or Brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure aimed at reshaping the upper arm. The primary goal of arm lift surgery is to enhance arm definition, shape, and create a smoother, slimmer appearance while reducing unwanted fat, tightening tissue, and removing excess skin. The most common reasons for considering arm lift surgery are an inability to lose weight with a desire for more defined arms or having recently lost a significant amount of weight, resulting in an imbalance in arm contour or excess skin.
Arm Lift Procedure
The arm lift procedure is typically performArm Lift Chicagoed on an outpatient basis and takes around two hours for both arms. No drains are necessary, and patients can usually shower the next day. One of the drawbacks of a standard Brachioplasty is the visible large incision along the inner arm, resulting in a readily visible scar due to the thinness of the skin in that area.
Dr. Makhlouf has effectively addressed this issue by designing a new and safer scar location under the arm, making it less visible from the front or back view when the arm is elevated. Although the scar is still visible, it is not highly noticeable and is generally well-accepted. Dr. Makhlouf presented this innovative approach as an invited speaker at the national meeting in Denver in 2011.
